Electricity infrastructure

Your whole pole network, on the map and in the cadastre.

GridSense digitises the electricity infrastructure: every pole on the map, with the plot it stands on, the owners and the land book. Plus counting by locality, measurements and an AI assistant that answers questions — across the whole country.

Figures from a demo in Brăila county — the pole network, put on the map and linked to the cadastre.

On the same map

Poles, land and UAT boundaries, over satellite imagery

Everything overlaid in the same view, so you always have the full context of each pole.

  • Satellite & hybrid base

See the poles on high-resolution satellite imagery or on a hybrid map.

  • The land under the pole

The cadastral parcel each pole stands on, shown straight on the map.

  • UAT boundaries

The administrative outline of each locality, overlaid on the network.

The challenge

Thousands of poles. Each on someone’s land.

A distribution operator manages tens of thousands of poles, each placed on a plot with an owner and a land book. Without a single map, it is hard to know where each pole is and whose land it stands on — information essential for easements, compensation, rights of way and maintenance. GridSense brings it all into a single visual platform, linked to the cadastre.

What GridSense does

From the network map to the land book of each pole.

Everything you need to know where the poles are and whose land they stand on. Click any image to enlarge it.

Counting by area

How many poles does a locality have? Find out instantly

Pick a locality (UAT) or an area on the map and GridSense instantly counts the poles inside.

The Siliștea area selected: 572 poles inside, out of 4,311 across the whole network.

Select any covered locality from the list or draw an area, and the pole count appears on the spot, together with the total across the whole network. Useful for planning, maintenance and reporting.

What you can do

  • Pick a locality (UAT) from the list
  • See the exact number of poles in the area
  • Get the total across the whole network too
  • Quickly compare localities

How it helps: In seconds you know where the network is concentrated and how many poles you manage in each area.

Realistic view

Every pole, rendered realistically on the ground

As you zoom in, poles appear as realistic models, exactly at their position on the ground — not just dots on a map.

Poles rendered realistically on the satellite imagery, along the power line.

See the pole type and the power-line route straight over the satellite imagery, the way they look in reality. Easy to recognise and verify, even for people who don’t work with maps every day.

What you can do

  • See poles as realistic models, at their real position
  • Follow the power-line route on the ground
  • Quickly recognise the network layout

How it helps: The map becomes easy to read for anyone, from the field to leadership.

Pole record + land book

What land the pole stands on, and whose it is

Click any pole and see the full record: the land it stands on, the cadastral data, the owners and the land book — with on-screen viewing and PDF download.

The record of pole 83538: land, owners (the Romanian State), category and the View CF / Download CF PDF buttons.

The record shows the cadastral reference, area, cadastral number, owners (e.g. the Romanian State), category (built-up / outside built-up), plus the construction code. With one click you view the land book or download it as PDF — exactly what you need for easements, compensation and rights of way.

What you can do

  • See the land and cadastral data of each pole
  • Find out the owners and the land category
  • View the land book straight from the record
  • Download the land book as PDF

How it helps: You have exactly what you need for easements, compensation and dealing with landowners.

Measuring

The distances between poles, straight on the map

Turn on measuring and find out the distance between poles and the total along the line, with no separate tools.

Measuring between poles: spans of ~65 m and a total of 259.0 m along the section.

Quickly measure the spans between poles (e.g. 65.1 m, 66.0 m) and the sum along a section — useful for planning, works and estimates.

What you can do

  • Measure the distance between two poles
  • See the total along a section
  • Work straight on the map, with no other tools

How it helps: Quickly prepare estimates for works and maintenance.

AI assistant

Ask in your own words, get the answer right away

Ask “how many poles are in Victoria?” or “what are the top 10 localities by number of poles?” and get the answer right away.

The assistant answers: 320 poles in Victoria, 4,237 in Brăila county, plus the locality ranking.

The assistant understands natural-language questions about the network and answers with exact figures and lists — typed or dictated with the microphone. No need to know how to use a GIS program.

What you can do

  • Ask in natural language, typed or with the microphone
  • Find out how many poles a locality or county has
  • Ask for rankings and comparisons between localities
  • Get answers with exact figures

How it helps: Anyone in the institution finds the information, with no technical knowledge.

How we start

From the data you have, to the network on a map

  1. 1

    We take your existing data

Pole coordinates, plans and inventories — we bring them together.

  2. 2

We link it to the cadastre

Each pole associated with the land, owners and land book.

  3. 3

We put it on the map

We configure the layers and access for your institution.

  4. 4

    Training and support

We train your team to use the platform and stay by your side.
